What would you say is your style?

I would say my style is modern vintage. I think your wedding photos should be timeless. Having too much ‘style’ will place a date stamp on your images in a manner of speaking.

Will you shoot both color and black and white or those images with only one thing in color?

I take high resolution (RAW) digital files which can easily be converted to both. I won’t do selective color, as I feel it places a date stamp on your images and that is not ideal.

How many photos will I get?

How many images you end up having on your DVD is unique to your event. Depending on package size and number of events included in your day, those numbers can range from 100-400

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. I carry the two million dollars standard at most venues.

Do we get the negatives or the orginals?

No. The images you receive are fully edited. The originals are not available for purchase for any reason.

When is the balance of my payment due?

The balance of payment is due on or before your wedding day.

What are the refund or cancellation terms?

The deposit is non-refundable.

How much is the deposit?

The deposit is %30 of your total contract not including pre purchased ala carte items. (like an album)

What attire will you wear?

I usually dress like a well appointed guest. If you prefer I wear all black, I would be happy to.

What type of albums do you use and will you be helping to design it?

I use KISS wedding books. I think the simple design is streamlined and beautiful and really helps the photography shine. We will share in the design of your first family heirloom.

How long after the event will my pictures be ready?

I understand that this is important. I strive to do them as fast as possible. I like to have a few for you to see by the next afternoon. And I strive to delver the images for you to view a matter of weeks.

Do you have an assistant? 

Occasionally I will bring an intern with me on weddings, but unless you pay to have a second photographer package most likely I will be alone.

Do you have back up equipment?

Yes I always make sure I have back up of everything for your event.

How do you feel about guests taking pictures?

I think it makes my job very difficult. I don’t allow it at all during formals.

What happens if you get ill?

I have yet to have this happen, but if it does I would turn you over to one of my highly trained (and most often running business of their own) second shooters.

Will you accept a list of photos?

You can certainly send one; but I make no guarantees I will have one image for each item. I find that asking you to answer a few questions from me actually teaches me a lot about what is important to you  and makes the need for a list unnecessary.

Is the work I am seeing on your website your most recent work?

Yes, I make a point of trying to keep the information here current.  This site is therefore a combination website/blog. That means if you scroll through the archives you will find all most recent work. You may also check the portfolio tab of the menu bar to see the full portfolio.

 What gear do you use?

This is a hard question to answer. I shoot with Nikon equipment. My collection is always evolving. If you have an idea of what you would like me to use, short of switching brands, we can make that happen.
